Bienvenidos Davis Family!

We are excited to announce the arrival of the Davis family to join us serving in Guatemala!  Paul, Jessica, Mikayla, Maddie Shae, McKenna, and Lulu are planning to arrive this fall with "one-way tickets".  They come committed to joining the long-term vision for the Boy's Academy and the entire village Buena Vista.

 

We first met Paul in July of 2010 when he visited Guatemala with Dave Stewart from Savannah Christian Church.  Also a pastor at SCC, Paul came with Dave to check out what we were up to and hear more about the vision for the Boy's Academy.  If only we'd known what God was up to!  Not only did He use this visit to begin a special partnership with SCC, but He was also introducing Paul to his future home!

 

Since then, Paul's wife Jessica has been to Guatemala leading mission trips for SCC, and God used her time here to confirm in her heart that this is in fact where God is leading their family.

 

Paul and Jessica have 4 beautiful girls, who with their blonde hair and blue eyes will be pretty easy to spot in the village!  Together their family will serve on a daily basis at the Boy's Academy, and they will also help lead dSg mission teams that visit throughout the year.

 

We are praising God for calling the Davis' to Guatemala!  The fact that they long to live in Buena Vista is a huge blessing for us, and will no doubt help us with the daily load of meeting needs and ministering to the local people.  Our prayer is that God would help us build a second small home within the property of the Boy's Academy for the Davis family to live in.

 

Join us in welcoming the Davis family, and please be praying for them as they make final plans, raise support, and prepare to leave jobs, schools, etc.  The enemy will no doubt be on the attack, so pray with us that God give them strength and courage as they transition.
