Tomasa's Family

After meeting Tomasa (an elderly woman who runs a household of 10) a few weeks earlier, Paul Moreau returned home to the US to find that he could not sleep without seeing the image of her face.  The occurence would wake him in the middle of the night, haunting him time and time again.  After this continued to happen, he sent us an email saying:

"I can't get Tomasa's face out of my mind...  I think Jesus is trying to tell me to build her a home."

A couple weeks later, Paul returned to Guatemala with his wife Kedra and shared the news with Tomasa.  Sweet and humble, she got emotional as she expressed her gratitude.

This family has been a special blessing to us.  Extremely humble and gracious, they have been such a pleasure to be around.  All of the grandkids possess a sweet spirit, which seems to have been passed down from Tomasa to each one of them.

When the house was completed, we celebrated on Christmas Day with the entire Moreau family in town to join.  It was wonderful!  We ate fried chicken (prepared by Tomasa) and hot chili (prepared by Kerrie).  We sang, prayed, and rejoiced.

We look forward to the continued friendship with this family.  All of the grandkids remain in our daily lives, so we expect to keep building off the relationships that have already been developed.
