Blanca Suzanna

We met Blanca Suzanna about a year ago.  At only 12 years old, her life has been unbelievably difficult.  We put together a video, which is probably the best way for you to get a glimpse of who she is, what she has been through, and how the 12x12 Love Project has forever changed her life.

What a sweet honor to be able to help this special girl.

 

Blanca Suzanna is precious young girl with a slight mental disability.  She is very timid and nervous around people.  When she was 12 years old, she was raped by her next door neighbor, a 26 year old Guatemalan man.

 

Now 14, she has a 1.5 year old baby.

That's not all.  We believe Blanca continues to be emotionally abused and exploited by her father (not sexually).  Blanca works full days, 6-7 days a week while her parents stay home and care for the baby.  When we confront the father about this, he always makes excuses, saying he can't find work, etc.

 

Because they do not own land, or have any family that would let them build on their land, we were initially unable to build a home for them.  Until one day, after hearing Blanca's story, a special person following the lead of the Holy Spirit anonymously donated $2,000 to their church, specifying that the money be used for her.

 

God led us to a piece of land that was available for exactly that amount.  It is a tranquil setting in the mountains, their only neighbor being  a small village school.

 

Being a delicate situation, we have told the parents that we are building this home for Blanca, and they are all able to live together so long as her father gets a job and Blanca is free to stay home and care for her baby.  "Miraculously" after sharing this news with them her father was able to find work.
