Some representatives from Merrill Lynch came down to build a new home for this precious young family.  They are Berter & Anabela, and their 3 boys, Mario (6), Jeffrey (4), and Andre (2). 

After hearing about their story and seeing a video of their situation (click here), they responded immediately.  Within a month or so, they came with some friends to bring the news, tear down the old house, and begin construction on the new home.

A couple weeks later, the home was finished and we celebrated with a big party!  Ana had made fried chicken for everyone.  We hung out, sang, prayed, and had a great time together.

This has been a family that we have gotten to know fairly well over the last few months, and been able to develop a genuine friendship.  We have become aware of several serious problems within the family, including issues of health and abuse.  Thankfully, it has opened doors for us to demonstrate God's grace and unconditional love.

As we continue the relational journey with the Ramos family, please be in prayer with us.  Although they claim faith in Jesus, we are praying to see fruit and meaningful change. 

Praise God, just recently, we have seen some progress!
