The Yoc Family - June 2008

Recently we officially had the privledge of welcoming the Yoc family into their new home.  It was beautiful.  Chad and Lindsey were here to enjoy the experience with us.  We all remembered the first time we met the Yoc's in their old home.  We remembered the conditions at that time...missing walls, no roof, dirt floors, the bugs, the rot, and the smell.

We remembered having the opportunity to tell them we wanted build them a new home.  We were so excited to get them off of dirt floors, provide 4 walls and a shelter over their heads – a place they can call home.

This was truly a special event.  With the keys to their new front door in hand, we gathered to pray for their family.  We asked the spirit of Jesus to be strong in their new home, and thanked God for the families that donated this gift – the Hult's, Young's, Johnson's and Johnson's.

As we all visited in their new house, Antonio (the father) picked up his guitar and asked if he could sing a few songs of worship in Spanish with his family and Pastor Mario.  It was so wonderful to listen and experience this moment of such genuine praise and worship.  We all had tear-filled eyes (even Chad who keeps his emotions in check pretty well!).  When they finished, we asked if we could sing one in English and they were so excited.  Brock played guitar and we all sang Mighty to Save…  God is truly MIGHTY TO SAVE!
