On Sunday, October 18, we welcomed Jose, Doris, and their two boys into their new home.
Approximately 2 months earlier, a group of us got caught in a rain storm in Buena Vista, and we saw Doris standing outside her small tin home, calling us in to get out of the rain. The next thing we know, the 8 of us are packed inside this tiny tin shack. As we looked around, we all knew this would be a future 12x12 family.
A couple weeks later, Paul Moreau was visiting Guatemala and we stopped by to meet Doris and her family. Led by the Holy Spirit, he made a decision right then and there to build them a new home. He shared the news with the family (watch the video here), and a few weeks later construction was underway!
Jose and Doris have 2 young boys, Kevin and Eduardo. They are a sweet family and were very gracious for the gift. Although Paul and Kedra's family couldn't be at the key ceremony, we gave the family a framed photo of them together in front of their old house. It was truly a special day. Praise God!!!
