The Bautista Family
On May 10, we celebrated the completion of the Bautista Family home. Marble City Church from Mississippi, was here to join in on the fun (more pictures below!).
We met Conchita (mom) one day when working in Buena Vista. She was outside of her small tin house washing clothes, and we asked if we could come in for a visit...
As soon as we entered the house, we knew this would be one of the next 12x12 houses. Conchita and her husband Gustavo are in their young 20's and have a beautiful little girl named Ingred Yulissa. The elements of dust, wind, cold, and smoke from their fire are a constant struggle.
The Bautista Family comes from a Catholic background. They were very open with us about their faith, and the challenges they have faced with religion. We have had many wonderful conversations with them about Jesus, and pray they have seen who HE is through our actions.
We continue to visit and spend time with them often, and pray that God uses us to be a steady representation of Christ to this wonderful family.
