Many of you know Esbin.  He is an 11yr old disabled boy who lives in Buena Vista.  When we first met him he had been bedridden for 5 years with a neurological disorder that destroyed his ability to walk or even use his arms and legs in any way.

Since then, through prayers, physical therapy, monthly milk donations, and lots of love, he has improved to where he can sit up and slowly move his arms and legs.

We have taken Esbin to a neurolgocal specialist in the capital, and have had extensive nerve testing and blood tests done.  With the advice from a well respected Guatemalan doctor, as well as several doctors from the US who have visited, we are initiating a program that we pray can bring this young boy back to health.  His condition can be rehabilitated...  we just need your help.

One of the critical factors in getting Esbin back to health is nutrition.  But he cannot eat solid foods because all of his teeth are rotten.  In order to improve his health, we must begin a nutrition program, but until we solve this problem that is not possible. 

After an in-depth consultation with a local dentist, 20 visits are necessary to solve this problem.  He needs 9 extractions, 13 cavities filled and 2 root canals with restorations.  We have been taking Esbin to the dentist each Monday, and so far he has had 7 extractions, 1 root canal, and 8 cavities filled.

Additional funds will likely be needed as the nutririon plan, and more doctor visits lie ahead, but for now this is where we are. We will keep you posted!
